November 2019 EOM ride

Hi guys

This November the EOM ride is going to be led by…….me

This will be a simple ride to a lunch stop and then return back to the same place. The weather should be ok and warm enough…according the forecast!

Date is Sunday 24th November with the start at :-

McDonalds
165, London Rd, East Grinstead RH19 1ET

0930 arrive for 10am wheels up

Riding to :-

The Airport Cafe
Main Road, Sellindge, Ashford TN25 6DA

Will ride out via one route and back via another to finish at Maccy D’s in East Grinstead. Hope to be back by 3pm……ish

Volunteers for back marking if possible with orange High Viz please.

BackMarker System: Please make sure you are fully conversant with the rules of the “BACKMARKER SYSTEM“. Following these correctly is vital to the smooth running of the day & reduces the risk of losing someone, or everyone. Details of the BM system are on our Southernriders.org website.   If you’re unsure on the day, ask one of the attending Instructors. They will be more than happy to clarify any issues you have.
Hi-Viz:  If you wear hi-viz, please ensure it is not Orange as this is reserved for the ‘backmarker’ during our ride-outs.  We appreciate you may normally wear an orange hi viz whilst riding.  However, some found it confusing when in the middle of the group to see two or more riders with the orange hi viz.  In an effort to avoid confusion and markers leaving their post prematurely only the back-marker to wear orange. Thank you

As with all Group Ride Outs, please note that if the overnight temperature is forecast to be below 3 degrees C, the ride out will be cancelled automatically. There will not normally be a second notification if this is the case

Please be fully fuelled and ready to go prior to the start of the day.
